Bratwurst and Sauerkraut Recipe
In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add the bratwursts and cook until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the brats from the skillet and set them aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they become soft and golden, about 5 minutes. Stir in the Brookford Farm Sauerkraut. If using beer or broth, pour it in now.
Return the bratwursts to the skillet, nestling them into the sauerkraut and onions. Cover the skillet and let everything simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
