Our pork is raised on certified organic pasture which is rich in clover, alfalfa, and vitamin-dense grasses. The pigs at Brookford Farm have an extremely high quality of life, rooting in dirt, often at the edge of a forested area, where they have unlimited access to shade, fresh air, sunlight, acorns, nutritious roots, and fresh water. Their diet is supplemented with our own organic whey, vegetables, and grains.
The health benefits of eating pastured pork are dramatic, as well. Pastured meats are much higher (as much as hundreds of times higher) in vitamin E and “good fats” like omega-3s and CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid, than conventional pork.
There’s an unbelievable taste difference between our pork and conventional pork. Our pork is processed naturally, and does not include sulfites and MSG.
